![]() In the first show of The Black Parade Tour at Hammersmith Palais in London, the venue announced that as My Chemical Romance couldn't make it to the show, The Black Parade would be playing instead. The band began posing as The Black Parade in the videos for "Welcome to the Black Parade" and "Famous Last Words", and toured posing as The Black Parade as well. In shows during The Black Parade World Tour and in the videos for "Welcome to the Black Parade" and " Famous Last Words", the band poses as The Black Parade themselves, showing The Patient his life as he dies. The Patient dies and The Black Parade take him on an odyssey through his life. ![]() The album follows the story of The Patient as he is met in death by The Black Parade, an abstract memory from his childhood written about in the album's lead song, " Welcome to the Black Parade" ("When I was a young boy/My father took me into the city/To see a marching band.
